Does Life feel overwhelming?
You feel like you need help, and are looking for an empathetic and and compassionate therapist.
You’re in the right place!
What is stress?
Physiologically, stress is your body’s natural reaction to a change that requires a response, which is more commonly thought of as our “fight, flight, or freeze” response. When we don’t have the tools to cope with stress productively, it can cause a great deal of MORE stress and problems down the road.
These can include:
loss of appetite
difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep
muscle tension - how tight are those poor shoulders of yours?
shortness of temper - maybe you’re feeling really snappy lately?
inability to focus on tasks or the positive things in your life
Sound Familiar?
What causes stress?
The truth is, life can be stressful.
Major life changes like a change or loss of a job, financial worries, changes in your personal relationships, deadlines, and even learning a new skill or adapting to a major life shift - like a global pandemic, for instance! - can all add strain and stress.
Sometimes we feel pressure to succeed or to be perfect all the time, and don’t know how to get past that.
I’m a therapist who’s empathetic and compassionate. I can guide you through these challenges successfully.
I specialize in EFIT - Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy, a modality with a long history of clinical success - often in less time than other types of therapy!
That - most of the time - when we work together, you’l feel better faster.
